GRF success!

Just one word, but many of our research (and emotional) successes depend on it. Academia is a tough career that has put an emphasis on grants and publications, but also provides the joys of being in a dynamic workplace where the outdoors is also our “office”.

I think important to keep everything in perspective and not get too high or low with results like this–a single grant or paper doesn’t define us as a researcher.

This new project (Disentangling the influence of ecology and evolution on the host-microbiome relationship in amphibians) gives us the opportunity to dive into the microbiome world of HK amphibians. This proposal is special because it was collaboratively put together with Itzue (posdoc) and Ivan (MPhil student). Great job everyone! Look forward to at least 3 more years of working together!
